WAYS (I THINK) THAT CAN HELP CLEAR BURNOUT

from a person who has experienced burnout intensely since the past year :)

Firstly, WELCOME TO MY BLOG. Here I will be giving out my opinions on struggles we face as teenagers. I will be penning my thoughts on a wide spectrum of topics and I'm honestly thrilled to see where it goes.

Also, THANK YOU SO MUCH to take time out of your busy schedules to come and visit my blog. This is something that I've been wanting to do for the lengthiest time, now I guess it's time to finally do it.

Today's subject is something I've been thinking, undergoing, and monitoring a lot predominantly since the pandemic hit.
A lot of my friends had been suffering from the same so I figured why not let this be the pilot issue to write about.

   So what actually is "burnout"?

It practically and in the simplest words means running out of your intellectual/creative fuel. Hence, "burnout".

The most common and conspicuous cause is overworking yourself in a certain aspect. Or possibly the stress that has built up from such a long time that is on the verge of erupting.

So now the major question surfaces, HOW do you know it's burnout and not idleness.
Well, I'm gonna leave a link to this video which helped me determine that I was burnt out and not just being lazy.

here: how do you know you're burnt out

moving forward,

I was combating burnout for almost a year after the pandemic hit, all I believed was that this was momentary and paid negligible attention to it and consequently allowed it to totally consume me which eventually led to mental breakdowns, existential crisis, and what not;
you name it.

I had no clue what to do with my life since I was simultaneously social distancing and texting my friends can only work so much.
What helped me relieve the effect was switching up my lifestyle in such a way that it wasn't overwhelming to bring in a new habit.

What 'I' think helped me cure my burnout.

I was holding myself to impossibly high standards at one point, well I do that now too but back then I put too much pressure on certain things onto myself which is what causes burnout in the first place.
Once, absolutely unknowingly, I let go of these burdens and I almost instantly started feeling better.

The turning point in my journey was when I read this,

Did you know about these laws of quantum physics?

Law of attractionThe universe responds to the frequency our feelings are giving out.
What we think, we attract. Everything we experience in life is dictated by our own thoughts.

Law of thinkingAs mentioned above, we attract what we think, by changing your conscious thoughts to manifestations, you will allow yourself to effectively change the outcome to what YOU want.

So, what I did was...
  • I introduced useful habits into my routine almost out of nowhere but one at a time.
for example, I started to clean my desk after I was done for the day.
I started making my bed first thing after waking up in the morning.
It is a small change, but it proved to be very significant.
  • I DECLUTTERED!!
Keeping things minimal turned out to be more effective than I thought.
  • Started submitting my assignments BEFORE the due date. (this one was a life-altering step for me)
  • Just started going out for a walk in the evening, choosing the right time to do so made all the difference.
  • Started waking up at a reasonable time.
  • Started guided meditation on an app. (thank you to the person who exactly knows who he is :))

I know these are the most mundane and nerdy things EVER. But it worked out for me after all. I find myself in a much brighter place after incorporating these things into my life legitimately one by one.
These are some of my own propositions to test and execute which may or may not work for you. Just keep in mind that everything eventually works out.

It can be awfully easy to get carried away with life without having any time to reflect upon ourselves. This is your sign to pause for a moment, take a deep breath, ask yourself how are you really doing and reflect upon your past. Think whether something is wrong. If yes then what, why and what can you do to fix it.

Most often burnout can be cured by the most ordinary and everyday things if we take out the time to actually do them.

You will be able to notice after a substantial amount of time that you have almost eradicated procrastinating and hardly think about it these days.
All you need is a day or any amount of time for that matter with yourself and/or someone or something you love.
Having the presence of mind will unravel everything.
Just trust the process and your gut feeling, you will be invincible ;)

  2. Very well written. The expression of the entire roller-coaster ride has been penned down wonderfully and in a relatable manner. And even if the solutions sound "nerdy", but you never know what can work out for you! Making it into a "guide to be invincible" from something "nerdy"! Thanks for bringing it out into our field of awareness. Hope we get to hear more from you! Thank you.
